Meet Baby Rhino
New Album Out Now!
We're keeping our 25th-year celebration going with our latest and playful-est album yet! It's lovingly titled after a nickname that Little Band fans coined for me after mishearing Brady Rymer as “Baby Rhino"— a delightful mix-up, and I'm runnin' with it!
Made especially for younger audiences, Baby Rhino is all about giving a voice to a child’s wild and wonderful imaginations and fascinations. 🦖 From dinos to rhinos, elevators and helicopters 🚁 to lessons about happiness and being okay with life’s “uh-ohs,” 🤷🏼 stomp on over to your favorite streaming platform and listen to Baby Rhino today!
I also snuck in a reworking of the Grateful Dead's "The Monkey and the Engineer." I gave this new version a lyrical twist that I think the kids will get a kick out of!

DINO-mite New Music Video!
🦖 “The Friendliest Dinosaur” music video is out! We think it’s pretty great, but don’t take our word for it. Here’s what the dinos are saying:
👏 “I’d clap if my arms could reach”
🥹 “Finally, someone who understands my sensitive side.”
🧊 This music video is anything but extinct! Two claws up!”
A T-Rex sized thank you to Glen Hoffman and Prand.tv!
“The Friendliest Dinosaur”
CHECK OUT THE SINGLE!
Who’s got tiny arms, a big appetite, and a giant heart?
Not all dinosaurs ROAR ... some just want to say, "Hi, friend!"
Our call-and-response rocker asks, which dino was the friendliest of them all?
(Any guesses?)
Inspired by a surprising news story, I wanted to turn those dino stereotypes on their head! I thought it would be great for kids to hear this sweeter take, how even the fiercest dinosaurs might just want to party, dress up, and make friends.
The Friendliest Dinosaur Lyrics
Which dinosaur wants to play?
Which dinosaur says, hey?
Which dinosaur wants to be your friend?
Which dinosaur loves to share?
Go to parties and style your hair?
Which dinosaur will be there ‘til the end?
Is it Brontosaurus?
Is it Stegosaurus?
The Triceratops?
Come on and think again…
T Rex! T Rex! T Rex is the friendliest
T Rex! T Rex! T Rex is the friendliest dinosaur!
Which dinosaur will take you to lunch?
Grab a snack or a Sunday brunch?
Which dinosaur will be your BFF?
Which dinosaur loves to chat?
Take long walks and try on new hats?
Which dinosaur puts the “F” in fun?
Is it Allosaurus?
Is it Spinosaurus?
The Velociraptor?
Come on and think again…
T Rex! T Rex! T Rex is the friendliest
T Rex! T Rex! T Rex is the friendliest dinosaur!
They always get portrayed as quite ferocious
When in fact they are the most precocious
Yeah, that stereotype’s atrocious
Let’s show ‘em some respect!
Which Dino has all the charm?
And wants to hug you with those itty-bitty arms?
Which dinosaur wants to be your friend?
T Rex! T Rex! T Rex is the friendliest
T Rex! T Rex! T Rex is the friendliest
T Rex! T Rex! T Rex is the friendliest dinosaur!
They’ll show up at your door
And help you with your chores
I hope that they’re an herbivore
That friendly dinosaur!
When You’re Kind
w/Laurie Berkner!
Come sing with us in a land where purple squirrels scamper, pink and blue trees sway in the breeze, and surprise gifts are hiding behind every back...
I’m excited to share the video "When You're Kind" from our new album ‘Sunny Side Up,’ which reminds us that a sprinkle of kindness can brighten everyone's day! Hope this inspires you to share some.
Singing and filming this together with Laurie was a beautiful gift. Thank you to Jake Mathew for the magical video landscape and animation, Katie Messer for the friendly filming and Glen Hoffman for the perfect edit.
NEW ALBUM SUNNY SIDE UP OUT NOW!
We’re delighted to announce the release of Sunny Side Up, our most optimistic, bright-eyed album yet!
Folky, easy-going and playful, this seven-song collection finds beauty and brilliance in the familiar: hangin' laundry on the line, dandelions in the wind, the comfort of a home-cooked breakfast.
A sweet duet with my friend Laurie Berkner and the masterful guitar work of Matchbox Twenty's Matt Beck add sparkle to the perennially positive sounds of the Little Band That Could.
The title track was inspired by my sunny mother-in-law Grandma Jody: now 92, she still greets each day with a smile. "Sunny Side Up" sets the tone for an album that encourages us to embrace and savor the joy in the everyday.
“Like a high five wrapped up in a hug.”
NEW VIDEO “SUNNY SIDE UP”
I'm excited to share our new music video for "Sunny Side Up," featuring PBS's The Bopstars!
A guitar-strummin’ clown, a cheeky sun, a blue-eared dog and a friendly lion join me for this tune. Throw in the sweet harmonies of an eggplant, carrot & tomato and this fun-lovin' bunch of Bopstars had me grinnin' all day. I hope these fuzzy critters keep you on the sunny side, too!
Big thanks to this talented crew!
